The Visual Size Examples and Font Differences you're about to explore are all based on 24-inch wide signs. Pay attention to the distinct appearances and how they're affected by the length of the names.
The Farmhouse font paired with the Skinny font works well together. In this 24-inch wide example, the first name has only 4 letters, so it appears larger compared to names with more letters. If your name has more than 4 letters, you may want to consider the next size up to achieve a similar visual effect.
Moving on, the Brittany font paired with the DEAN font also complement each other nicely. The first name in this 24-inch wide example has 9 letters. If your name has fewer letters, it will appear larger than this 9-letter name. The Brittany font is a thin, delicate style, giving it a softer appearance.
The DEAN font, like the EDWARD and OLIVER fonts, features separate, individual letters.
In the next example, the Bakerie font is paired with the DEAN font on a 24-inch wide sign. Again, the first name has only 4 letters, so it will appear larger than names with more letters. If your name is longer than 4 letters, consider the next size up.
The Mustache font combined with the Wild Mango font on a 24-inch wide sign presents another harmonious pairing. The first name in this example has 7 letters. If your name has fewer letters, it will appear larger than this 7-letter name.
The michael font, like the EDWARD, DEAN, and OLIVER fonts, features separate individual letters.
It's important to note that for CURSIVE font names, the letters are connected in a continuous piece (with the exceptions of Brittany, Chicago, and City Street fonts), while PRINT FONT names will be individual, separate letters as shown in the examples above.
Regarding the wood material, this product is made from real maple. Depending on the color and the size of the name, you may notice natural wood knots or grains. This is not a defect but rather a characteristic of the wood. Larger names are more likely to showcase these natural features, as they cover a larger section of the wood.
We recommend choosing the wider widths for longer names to ensure the best visual balance. Both the first and middle names will be included.
The Brittany and Chicago fonts will be as pictured, with the letters separated, to maintain legibility. Separate letter fonts will be individual pieces, with all dots connected.
The measurements provided in the dropdown menu refer to the width (left-to-right span) of the first name or word, in inches. Cursive fonts ranging from 0 to 24 inches wide will be 1/4 inch thick maple MDF wood. Cursive fonts 30 to 48 inches wide will be 1/2 inch thick maple MDF wood. Print fonts will be 1/4 inch thick.
Unpainted signs can be left in their natural state, or they can be sanded smooth and prepared for painting upon arrival.
